LIVINGSTON, Mont. (Crime Library) — Law enforcement authorities say they are considering conducting a new air and ground search for 18-year-old Heather Brianna Wilkins, who has been missing since Jan. 11.
But first they need the weather to improve.
Heather Wilkins, Brianna to her friends, is no stranger to odd behavior. She's disappeared before, but never like this, and never for this long.
When Brianna left home in the past, she either had someone with her or she kept in contact with friends or family. She usually did both.
"What bothers me the most is that nobody has heard from her," said Capt. Eric Severson of the Livingston Police Department. Capt. Severson has been investigating Brianna's disappearance since her mother reported her missing more than seven weeks ago.
Severson said he has checked with family members and friends, all with the same result—Brianna hasn't contacted anyone. It would be very unusual, he agreed, for a teenage girl to leave home and not tell someone where she was or what she was doing. "If she became a call-girl in Las Vegas, she'd tell somebody," Severson said.
